This blog is dedicated to the topics of job insecurity, job security, technological automation, Artificial intelligence and my PhD.
Welcome, I am glad you have found my Blog
My PhD I am investigating job insecurity and technological automation, and you can read more about it here.
The Blog will cover a diverse selection of topics from numerous sources, some from news outlets, social media postings from organisations, and some covering subjects that are interesting to me, have been suggested, or have a connection with my PhD. (Although these will normally be updates or discussions about academic articles).
Change Management will also play an important part within this blog, as technology changes the way we work, and I am sure you may have noticed how we can think, take on information, and in some cases change our beliefs.
To be notified of updates by email, please click the ‘Sign me up’ button’ at the bottom of this page, or leave a comment. This blog is maintained by me in my spare time, between work and the PhD, so I do not always have a great amount of time and may not post as much as I would like to.
This Blog is a young one in comparison to many academic, business or commentary blogs, although I have been unable to find any others that cover the subjects or the relationship between them. But if you find one I am always happy to be told, as would like to corroborate.
As this blog is dedicated to Job insecurity and technological automation, I am always happy for ideas and comments on subjects that could be covered, and any collaborations, and can be contacted here.

About Me
I have been working in the Information Technology industry for over 30 years, and have seen many changes over that time, from the physical size of computers to the speed, and the software solutions that can be run on them, to the point now anyone can work from nearly anywhere, and so reducing the need for a desk or an office.
The industries I have supported through work have included Financial, Oil, Media, Communications, Governmental and Pharmaceutical (to name only a few), but always worked on projects that discover, define and implement technological solutions within the office environment.
However, much of my career now focuses on technologically driven change within the office environment and how it can impact the individuals and the organisations that are using those technologies, and by challenging the usual change management strategies, employees could feel that technology is not a threat to them and their livelihood.
Achidemicly apart from my PhD, I am currently in the process of developing my first academic publication on the differences between job security and Job insecurity, which I hope to have ready for review by the end of this year.
